How clients can doublebook online through Schedulista

Schedulista is designed to protect you from being doublebooked for appointments on a single calendar.

However, you may want or need to offer more than one appointment at the same time. We can help with this.

Benefits of Doublebooking

  • Provide the same service to more than one person at the same time

  • Support booking for more than one room or space at the same time

  • Offer different services that can be provided at the same time

There are three methods you can use to allow clients to doublebook for the same appointment time through your online scheduler: Multiple spots for the same service; using multiple classes; or using multiple calendars.

As a provider, when setting appointment directly on your calendar, you are able to doublebook at any time.

Method 1: Doublebooking the same service

This method allows you to offer multiple spots for the same service at the same appointment time using the Class feature for services.

(1) On the web app: Go to Settings > Services / Classes / Events


On the mobile app (version 7.3 and above): Tap on Services / Classes / Events under the Configure section on the Settings tab

(2a) Click or tap Edit next to an existing service; or

(2b) Click or tap Add Service to add a new service

(3) Scroll down to the Class section

(4) Click or tap the No button to toggle to Yes

(5) Select the Max Capacity for the class, the maximum number of spots you would like to make available for each appointment time

(6) Check the box next to Also offer this class whenever you have availability on your schedule

This will make available multiple spots for this service at any point it is booked on your schedule.

(7) On the web app: Click Save at the bottom of the page

On the mobile app: Tap Save at the bottom of the page, then tap Close at the top of the page to return to the Settings tab

Method 2: Doublebooking with multiple classes

This method allows for different services to be booked at the same appointment time on the same calendar.

(1) On the web app: Go to Settings > Services / Classes / Events

On the mobile app (version 7.3 and above): Tap on Services / Classes / Events under the Configure section on the Settings tab

(2a) Click or tap Edit next to an existing service; or

(2b) Click or tap Add Service to add a new service

(3) Scroll down to the Class section

(4) Click or tap the No button to toggle to Yes

(5) Set the Max Capacity for the class to 1

(6) Check the box next to Also offer this class whenever you have availability on your schedule

This will allow for clients to book the class service like a standard one-on-one appointment at any time, as well as allow you to add it to your calendar on specific dates & times to make it available.

(7) On the web app: Click Save at the bottom of the page

On the mobile app: Tap Save at the bottom of the page, then tap Close at the top of the page to return to the Settings tab

Repeat these steps for all services you want to make available at the same appointment times.

Once your services are set, you can add the empty classes side-by-side on your calendar (see Method 1 here) to make multiple services available for the same appointment time. You can also set repeating classes to easily make these available at each appointment time each day.

Method 3: Doublebooking using multiple calendars

This method uses separate calendars to allow you to make more than one spot for different services available at the same appointment times.
