Your online scheduler is a secured site, including the details form page where clients enter their contact and payment information.

This applies to the scheduler on the scheduling page we've created for your account and when you embed the scheduler on your own website.

If you have any questions about security, please contact us at support@schedulista.com.

What security does Schedulista use on the page?

The online scheduler is secured with HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol for Secure communication) through Schedulista.  Our security certificate encrypts information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).

You can read more on security and our privacy policy here.

If you are taking payments, Stripe also provides its own security for payment data through the credit card field on the page.  You can read more on their security here.

The embedded scheduler iframe

The embedded scheduler is hosted on Schedulista's site and servers. To embed the scheduler on your site, the HTML code uses an "iframe." An iframe is like a window that looks from one site to another.

For the scheduler, the iframe allows clients to look from your site to Schedulista without having to go to a different page or site.

Why doesn't the page show as secure in the scheduler embedded on my website?

Modern internet browsers provide security information near the web address bar.

Most clients will look for this information when entering their contact details or making payments online to know the transaction is secure.

As the embedded scheduler uses the iframe to view the Schedulista site through your site, none of the page information from the scheduler appears in the web address bar as clients navigate through it. The web address bar displays information for the page on your website where the scheduler is embedded.

As you go through the scheduling process on your website, note how the URL never changes in the web address bar.

If your website doesn't have its own security certificate, the information displayed will show that it is not secured, even though the details form page in the scheduler is secured on the Schedulista site.

What can clients do to feel secure?

If a client is worried that their browser is not showing that the scheduler is secure, you can direct them to book their appointments on the scheduling page we've created for your account.  You can find the URL for your scheduling page on the Let client know page or the Facebook page in your account settings.

The scheduling page will display that it is secured.

Clients can click the secure lock for more information.
