You can manage which times are available for clients to schedule in two ways:

  • Scheduling interval - This is the frequency you'd like to accept appointments from the time you open each day.
  • Specific times - You can set specific appointment times that clients can schedule with you. This can be set for all services or by specific service.

Scheduling Interval

The "clients book appointments on an interval" setting determines the frequency that available appointment times will appear on your scheduler. The default setting is "Every 30 minutes". To change this:

(1) Go to Settings > Scheduling Policies

(2) Scroll down to the Available Appointment Times section

(3) Select your interval from the drop-down menu

For example: The business in the snapshot below starts the work day at 9:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm. If the interval is set to "Every 30 minutes," clients will be able to select 9:00 am, 9:30 am, 10:00 am, etc. As the "Swedish Massage" service lasts an hour and the provider ends their day at 5:00 pm, the last available appointment time is at 4:00 pm.

(4) Click Save at the bottom of the page to make your changes active

Specific times for all services

You can create specific times for all of our services that clients can schedule with you each week.

(1) Go to Settings > Scheduling Policies

(2) Scroll down to the Available Appointment Times section

(3) Select "Clients book only at specific times"

(4a) Click the Time field to select a time from the menu, then click the Add Time button; or

(4b) In the Time field, enter your own time, then click the Add Time button

Note: Time can be entered in 5 minute increments (e.g., 3:05 pm, 10:25 am, 7:50 pm, etc.)

(5) Check the boxes of all days that you want this time to be available

(6) Repeat steps 4 and 5 until you add all available times

(7) Click Save at the bottom of the page to make your changes active

Specific times for specific services

If you'd like a particular service (or services) to be available at specific times, you can set this up using our "Add override for specific services" feature.

(1) Go to Settings > Scheduling Policies

(2) Scroll down to the Available Appointment Times section

(3) Click the Add button next to "Add override for specific services"

(4) Select your specific service(s) from the drop-down menu

The service will be added as a tag.

Note: You can also select multiple services for an override.

(5a) Click the Time field to select a time from the menu, then click the Add Time button; or

(5b) In the Time field, enter your own time, then click the Add Time button

Note: Time can be entered in 5 minute increments (e.g., 3:05 pm, 10:25 am, 7:50 pm, etc.)

(6) Check the boxes of all days that you want this time to be available

(7) Repeat steps 5 and 6 until you add all available times

(8) Click Save at the bottom of the page to make your changes active

Note: You can create as many specific service overrides as you like. Though, be aware that if you select the same service in two different overrides, only the first override you set for that service will be followed.

Note about specific times and your work hours

Setting specific times defines your appointment times, but the work hours on your calendar still determine whether you are available on any given day. You will want to make sure that your "work schedule" is set so that you are available during these specific appointment times.

Find out more about setting your availability here.

Clients can also book any time directly following an appointment option

To help reduce gaps in your schedule, there are two options to allow clients to book appointments directly after another appointment ends.

Scheduling interval

Below the drop-down menu to select the interval is a checkbox to choose the option. The box is checked by default.

Example: Your scheduling interval is "every hour" and you have available times at 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, and 3:00 pm. A client schedules an appointment only lasting 30 minutes at 2:00 pm. An additional appointment time will be created at 2:30 pm. The next client scheduling will see 1:00 pm, 2:30 pm, and 3:00 pm as available appointment times.

Specific times

Below the specific times schedule, both for all services and for specific services, is the checkbox to choose the option. Checking the box will allow clients to book appointments directly after another appointment ends. It will also add an appointment time at the beginning of each work day.

Example: Your work hours are set for 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. You set specific appointment times for a 1-hour service at 10:00 am, 12:30 pm, and 3:00 pm. A client schedules an appointment at 10:00 am. An additional appointment time will be created at 11:00 am, as well as the time added at the beginning of the day. The next client scheduling will see 9:00 am, 11:00 am, 12:30 pm, and 3:00 pm as available appointment times.

Creating specific appointment times for special events

If you have a service or special event that you'd like to schedule at very specific times (that don't follow a weekly pattern) you may consider making that service a class.
