You can specify or ask for an alternate location from your regular business address for the following:

  • a client's address if you have a business that travels to the client
  • a specific appointment or event held at a different location
  • specific services offered at different locations if working at multiple locations

  • You specify alternate location
  • Directions to location

Client specifies the address or location

For example, a client can include their address for a house cleaning appointment, or an in-house massage appointment at the client's home or hotel.

Note: The client-specified location option is not available for classes.

(1) Go to Settings > Services / Classes / Events

(2a) Click Add Service to create a new service, or

(2b) Click Edit next to an existing service

(3) Scroll down to the Location section

(4) Select Client specified location

(5) Click Save at the bottom of the page

What the client sees

A location field will appear on the details form the client fills out to schedule their appointment.  The client can enter their address and choose from the search results that match.

You specify alternate location

If a specific appointment or event is held or specific service(s) are offered at a location that differs from your regular business address, you can specify the alternate location.

Specific appointment or event

For example, a real estate agent can set the location of a specific home they are showing on a specific date.

As you are adding the appointment/event to your calendar, scroll down to the Location field in the New Appointment dialog. Enter the address/location and select the match from the search results.

Specific services offered at different location

For example, a massage therapist working at two different offices can set the location of services offered at the second location.

(1) Go to Settings > Services / Classes / Events

(2a) Click Add Service to create a new service, or

(2b) Click Edit next to an existing service

(3) Scroll down to the Location section

(4) Select Alternate location

(5) Enter the address or location in the text field and select the match from the search results

(6) Click Save at the bottom of the page

On the appointment summary page and in the confirmation and reminder emails the client receives after scheduling, the address and the associated Google map will reflect the alternate location.

Directions to location

To view the alternate location on Google Maps, open the set appointment on your calendar.  In the Edit Appointment dialog, scroll down to the Location section and click the Directions link.
